Graduate fellowships are awarded annually to Illinois women who are U.S. citizens, are domiciled in the State of Illinois, have lived there for not less than two years, have received an A.B., B.A., B.S., or equivalent baccalaureate degree, have an overall "B" average and a minimum of twelve hours of undergraduate credits in economics, history and/or political science.

In the selection process, consideration is given to the following: need, previous graduate study, practical business experience in government and leadership experience.

Applications, credentials and supporting data must be on file with the Chairman of the Committee on or before November 1. Personal interviews with members of the Committee will be scheduled with eligible candidates.

Awards are announced by April 1. The amount allowed is paid directly to the school.
