IFBPW
The Illinois Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs was organized in 1921 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonsectarian, self-governing membership supported organization.
As a "Women helping Women" organization, the members work to promote equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information. Members work to achieve gains for women under the law, such as equal pay for equal work; removal of sex discrimination in education and employment; equalizing tax treatment for men and women; and equitable treatment of women in pension plans and insurance. Members represent every age, race, religion, political persuasion and socioeconomic background. All levels of the workforce and virtually every occupational area are represented.
